The role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with extensive hands-on experience in the AVEVA PI ecosystem, capable of taking ownership of architecture and technical decisions across complex industrial environments.

You will lead the design and delivery of PI-based solutions, working directly with customers to understand their requirements and translating them into robust, secure and scalable solutions. The role combines technical depth, architecture and customer engagement, with the opportunity to stay close to implementation and the operational environments where the solutions are used.

Your responsibilities

1. Understand customer requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose AVEVA PI solutions and architectures.
2. Design PI System architectures, asset models, data structures and integrations based on customer needs.
3. Develop solution concepts and technical designs that are robust, scalable, maintainable and practical to implement.
4. Work with customers to challenge assumptions and requirements, identify opportunities and recommend the right technical approach.
5. Lead technical and architectural workshops and communicate solution designs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Hands-on delivery of PI-based solutions from design and implementation through configuration, modelling, troubleshooting and upgrades.
7. Contribute to NodeIT’s solution patterns, standards and best practices.

What you bring

You are an experienced AVEVA PI professional who enjoys solving customer problems through technology, moving from requirements and ideas to concrete solution designs.

We expect you to have

1. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation, Cybersecurity or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
2. 4+ years of hands-on experience with the AVEVA PI ecosystem, with strong expertise in architecture, OT/IT integrations, asset modelling, contextualization, and analytic design.
3. Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions.
4. Strong communication and customer-facing skills. Fluent English is required; a Scandinavian language is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Relevant AVEVA PI System certifications.

1. Knowledge of ISA-95, IEC 62443, and OT cybersecurity principles.
2. Experience working with customers in the Energy or Power & Utilities sectors and familiarity with their operational challenges, requirements, standards, and ways of working.
